but the first time I met him was at the Melbourne Underground Film Festival in 2006. He was there supporting his friend Frank Howson’s film, Remembering Nigel.
What has been seriously underreported is Bud’s commitment to independent filmmakers. There are 50 more credits that will never make the IMDB.
Enjoy Bud joining the underground, watching a no budget filmmaker’s trailer and encouraging the industry. He’ll be missed.

If you appreciate masterful filmmaking, I suggest you get along to the Kino Cinema in Carlton (enq: 03 9650 2100) to watch Sergio Leonie’s Once Upon A Time In America. Forget about those spaghetti westerns, this was Sergio’s masterpiece, and one of Bud’s favourites…
