Nothing But The Struth is an entirely self funded project and has been shooting since July 2006 with a one man crew. The hardest part of the whole process is getting interviews with industry figures who have something to say. If you have any contacts, perhaps an Uncle Baz or good friend Rolf, please let them know I’m still keen to get more interviews. Let them know I’m not interested in shooting fish in a barrel/rabbit in headlights type interviews, I’ll gladly give them complete control to say what they want to, even if it just amounts to a single point they want to make. I’m all for positive comments on the industry, I don’t have enough.
Although making this film is a lifelong dream come true, it shatters the soul when you attempt to contact one of your heroes and get completely ignored. If they’re not interested in being interviewed, fine, but at least knock me back so you can be crossed off the list. If someone well known in the industry actually contacted me, I’d be on a high for days. Miracles can happen, can’t they?
I’m also looking for an experienced researcher to help me sort out the struth from the fiction. Of course, it would be unpaid in financial terms, but the rewards for being part of something special are everlasting. And it will be a lot of fun, promise. I was going to do all the research myself, but I’m spreading myself too thinly and really want to do the project justice.
